The post production techniques used while compiling my photos for my print product created purpose and meaning. One way i achieved this was through the use of colour correction and the enhancement of the hues and saturation of the images. I did this in order to make the images brighter to make it seem more appealing. This links to Rick Altman's 1999 theory of generic pleasures which states that the audience can feel different types of pleasure from interacting with a media product. There are three responses they could have. These three are either emotional, intellectual or visceral. an emotional response would be something that makes the viewer feel a certain emotion such as happiness or sadness. an intellectual reaction would come from something that makes them think, something clever that they wouldn't necessarily think of on their own.
